Relaxation of Covid Guidelines in the UK after July 19th 2021

Pembroke Surgery will reopen our patient entrance from Monday 19th July so patients can now enter and exit our main site as previously. However following the advice of Public Health England issued on the 15th July 2021 we would ask patients to kindly wear a face mask when they attend and maintain a 2 metre social distance where possible. Please read the information below about lateral flow tests for to those patients asked to attend for a face to face appointment.

Lateral Flow Tests and face to face appointments July 2019 update for patients

Due to rapidly increasing levels of positive covid infection in both Reading and Wokingham we would kindly ask all those now attending for any face to face appointment to have the result of a recent lateral flow test to hand.

Where to get a lateral flow device (LFD) test kit

  • Community testing sites (enter your postcode in the NHS site map to find your nearest site and opening times). To take a supervised LFD test at a community testing site, drop in on the day or book an appointment online. You must not go to these sites if you have any symptoms.
  • Walk-through Local Testing Sites (afternoons only). These sites offer symptomatic testing during the morning and, following a deep clean, are open again in the afternoon for collection of test kits for people without symptoms.
